What is Zoom! teeth whitening?

Zoom! uses a Blue LED light-accelerated technology and whitening gel which when combined together will whiten rapidly. It works to lighten stains and discoloration for a brighter smile. The process is super simple, non-invasive, and quick. The whitening process itself takes about 45-60 minutes but we add an additional hour (for a total of 2 hours) to your appointment for preparation, instructions, and Q & A.

How does Zoom! teeth whitening work?

By using an LED light system that speeds up results and breaks up discoloration, Zoom! is an instant confidence booster. You can expect your teeth to be up to eight shades lighter!

We’ll apply the Zoom! whitening gel, apply the light to work its magic, and send you home with a custom touch-up kit to use at home. On average, you’ll be in the chair for a quick 60 minutes.

How long does teeth whitening last?

Generally, your pearly whites will last for quite a while depending on your eating and drinking habits after treatment.

For maintenance, you can get a customized whitening trays to use at home. When your teeth starts to look yellow again, you can pop your trays in for about 30 minutes and your teeth will be white and sparkly again! You may want to whiten every 6-12 months or whenever you feel you’d like your teeth lighter again. A fee may apply for this additional service so make sure you ask your dental team for more information.

Can you brush after whitening your teeth?

You can absolutely brush your teeth after your whitening service. We recommend that you always use a soft bristle brush and gentle toothpaste. Some patients find success in using products meant for sensitive teeth after their whitening. You can also use a fluoride toothpaste to help cut down on any sensitivity.

What foods are safe after teeth whitening?

So, you’ve just had your teeth whitened and you want to ensure they stay sparkly for as long as possible. It’s strongly recommended to stay away from tobacco or vaping products as they can ruin all the good your whitening has done by creating stains.

There are a few general categories of food you should stay away from for the best results:

  • Dark/strongly colored liquids – coffee, tea and red wine
  • Acidic beverages – most sodas, sparkling water, fruit juices, and alcoholic beverages
  • Anything that would leave a dark stain on your shirt
